This is a shadow plaid 50s mens suit made by lyttons.
Done in subtle pin stripe plaid in the colors olive green and a rust brown.
The jacket has a notched collar.
Features two buttons for closure.
One outside chest pocket on left. Two waist pockets with flap cover. The one on right has smaller inside pocket and a false pocket flap above it.
Two inside pocket flaps.
Half lining and padded shoulders.
Sleeves have two decorative buttons on cuffs.
Two slits at back off center.
Measurments are
Shoulders 17 1/2" across back from seam to seam
Sleeves 23" from shoulder seam to cuff
Length 17 1/2" from underarm to hem 28 1/2" from center back at collar to hem
No noted flaws.
Legs have both front and back pleats.
Lowered loops sometimes called hollywood loops. Notch at center back of waist.
Two front pockets and two back pockets. the left one has a button and loop for closure.
Metal hook and clasp with a slight flap wing? plastic zipper for closure.
I know plastic zippers were 60s and later but with the shape of collar lowered loops and cuffed pants I really think this is later 50s and possibly the zipper was replaced.
Measurements are
Inseam 27" 37" from waist to cuff
Hips 42"
11 1/2" from waist to crotch seam 14" from waist to center crotch with waist together
No noted flaws. I have not cleaned this because everyone has their own way of cleaning vintage suits.
