This is a black velvet feathered cocktail hat.

Drama and sophistication is all I can think of when looking at this hat.

Black velvet has a point that comes down I believe in the front between the eyes for a look like no other.

Although most feathered hats with veils were meant to have the veil in front I believe this one was meant to have it in the back and tie at front under chin from the balls at the end of the veil and also because of the point. I believe it is too dramatic to be worn the opposite way although I have shown it both ways.

Black velvet is in wonderful condition with only a little lint on it and is so rich looking.

The feathers are white with a hint of peach to them. Hackle features ? are the short feathers that trim the back. The center most one is tipped with black.

The curly long feathers are trimmed white coq feathers ? and curl downward molding to the head.

Absolutly immaculate condition with no soiling or staining to the velvet or feathers.

The veil has no tears that I can see.

The only soiling is glue residue from where the label once was.
